Women’s Sexual Trauma Support Group

I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.
— Brené Brown

Connecting with other survivors of sexual trauma is vital to healing from the on-going impacts of abuse. Participating in a support group provides survivors with an opportunity to be with others who have similar experiences and desires to heal from them. Courageous Survivors currently provides a gender-restricted support group for women survivors of sexual assault and abuse. The Women’s Sexual Trauma Support Groups are a virtual meeting that takes place weekly. Each group is limited to 12 attendees (plus the trained facilitator) to ensure that everyone gets an opportunity to participate. Courageous Survivors focuses on ensuring that attendees of the group sessions not only grow through the connection with other survivors but also through learning new tools and techniques for dealing with the day-to-day challenges of sexual trauma.

Courageous Survivors is proud to partner with Onward, the Meadows Behavioral Health alumni organization.
