Trauma Trigger Plan
No matter how much we work on ourselves to understand how to manage the legacy of our trauma, when we are triggered, our old ways of coping come to the front almost automatically. Having a Trigger Plan (and this one is very simple to use!) helps us when we are in the middle of one of those shame spirals, by reminding ourselves that we do have some healthy ways to cope with the feelings and the temptations to escape.

Holidays are stressful for survivors because it is a time when memories can flood our minds and the emotions associated with those memories flood our hearts. The Holiday Trauma Plan helps you prepare and have strategies in place so that you can look after yourself during the difficult parts and give yourself permission to enjoy the good parts.
