Now that Sexual Assault Awareness Month has ended, I want to encourage everyone to keep up the awareness, the vulnerability, and the important work of supporting survivors.
Thank you to all the brave survivors who shared parts of their stories and their writing with Courageous Survivors and allowed us to publish them on our website. I truly believe that sharing not only helps us heal as survivors, but also reaches others who are still finding their voice and may feel very alone. I felt honored to read them and connect with so many!
Though we didn’t receive any new donations during the month, we want to recognize our current donors, both one time and recurring, and will be having a drawing Tuesday May 3rd for the prizes that were so generously donated for this purpose. The winners will be notified privately and listed on the website if they agree. We want to respect everyone’s privacy always.
Please check out our Resources – they are being updated often and if there is something you need that isn’t there, let us know as this nonprofit is for YOU. As Brene Brown says, “stay awkward, brave, and kind”!
