Meet our Evening of Hope Speakers

 
 

Janet Bentley

Janet Bentley is the founder of Courageous Survivors. Her driving passion is prevention of child sexual abuse and to be a lifeline to survivors of sexual abuse and assault.

Her memoir, “Don’t Expect Me To Cry: Refusing to let Childhood Sexual Abuse steal my life” was published in October 2018 and has received numerous literary accolades.  She has been interviewed on several podcasts and has a powerful message to share.

Dwight Hurych

Dwight is the author of the best-selling book Who Else Can Love You?: Things to Tell Your Child, Inner or Outer.

He is having a blast with his inner children. and invites you to play along with them in their creative writing to spread the joy.

When he's not writing or playing at his home in Greensboro, North Carolina, Dwight is especially fond of frolicking in the ocean at Long Beach Island, New Jersey.

Tessa Milne

Tessa is a public speaker, mental health coach, victims’ rights advocate and a thriving survivor of abuse since 2009.

She is currently the spokesperson for Pinal County SART (Sexual Assault Response Team) Program, Spokesperson for Empowerment Buddies (therapeutic event, touring non-profits), Tessa founded FOAS Foundation (Anti-Bullying & Anti-Abuse Support),

Lillie Cortes MC,LPC,CSAT

Lillie is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She received her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Arizona State University in 2006.

After years of working with trauma survivors of varying backgrounds, she owns a group practice in Scottsdale. She specializes in Intimacy Disorders and Trauma. She has worked with leading experts in trauma recovery and applies the work to her own life.
