Diana's Healing Message for August

Happy August Courageous Survivors!  I hope this message finds you well and that you are enjoying all that summer has to offer.

If you read my July message, you may recall that I was returning home after many years to where my nightmares began.  Our President and major supporter of Courageous Survivors called me very brave, and you know, she was right!  Facing our demons is never easy and we at Courageous Survivors are here to walk every step with you.

As summer winds down and we soon enter a new season of Fall I would encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and be brave.  It doesn't need to be a major step or anything monumental, ever step is a step towards healing.

As for me, I will begin substitute teaching next week!  I always wanted to be a teacher from the time I was a small child but I was discouraged by my mother and never was afforded an opportunity for college.  It wasn't until I was 50 years old that I went back to school, not to become a teacher, but I earned both a bachelors and a master's degree enabling me to become a substitute teacher.  I am grateful for all I have been afforded and for those who believe in me.

I believe in you and you can accomplish anything you set your mind to!

Enjoy all that the month of August has to bring and I will report back in September and let you know how my teaching gig goes after all these years!
