Loneliness

I am in the midst of people who care,

yet I feel alone

I am with friends smiling and laughing,

yet I feel alone

I am home playing with my children,

yet I feel alone

I want to fill this empty space with happiness

It is too deep.

I want to reach out to trust again

It is out of reach.

I want to live again, I keep going

yet I feel so alone.
