Lying Fear
In the shadows where fear resides,
Where stories are twisted, and truths denied.
Fear so sly, the master of disguise,
Lies to me with vacant eyes.
Whispering falsely, it plants the seed,
And in my mind, doubts take heed.
A tempting dance asks me to take the bait
Fear weaves its web, trying to seal my fate.
With every lie, it tightens it’s hold,
Gathering strength, it grows more bold.
But fear I’ve learned, can be a bluff.
For the truth awaits, strong and tough.
In the face of fear’s deceitful game,
I stand tall and strong, without shame.
The lies exposed, the plot unravels,
Fear starts to fade, I win this battle.
Gone are the shadows, and I see light,
Courage guiding me through the dark night.
Fear lied again, but stripped of it’s might,
And it’s weakness revealed, fades from sight.
